  1. How Do I Get Started?

    1. Choose a product brochure your group will sell from.
    2. Determine how many seller packets you will need (1 packet per seller).
    3. Select the start and end dates of your fundraising sale (2-3 week timeframe).

  2. How Does Fundraising Work, Exactly?

    1. Direct Sellers: Like Chocolate Bars or Popcorn.

      How it Works:

      • Select the product you’d like to sell
      • Place your order by calling (800) 694-3054 or completing our Contact Us form.
      • Sell the product, collect the money, and bank your profits

      Advantages: Products in-hand are easy to sell, the costs are low in price, and there is no need to go back to deliver ordered merchandise.

    2. Brochure Order Takers: Like Cookie Dough, Pies, Gift Catalogs, Magazines, Candles or Snack Programs.

      How it Works:

      • Select the brochure(s) your group will sell from (generally 1 or 2).
      • Decide when you want to start and when you plan to end your sale (usually only 2-3 weeks of selling, Click here for order deadlines for each holiday).
      • Order your free order taking brochures by calling (800) 694-3054 or completing our Contact Us form. You will receive your brochures, order forms, and money envelopes for each seller as well as instructions.
      • Have your volunteers take orders from friends, family, and people at work, collecting the money while they take the orders.
      • At the end of the sale, deposit the money collected into your organization’s checking account and mail the order forms to Kids in Communities in the pre-addressed envelope along with your organization’s check for the wholesale value of the products sold. Keep your profits!
      • Kids in Communities will computer tally your orders, provide you with a fundraising report of the details of your sale, individually pack each sellers order (except Vermont Wreaths which is shipped to-the-unit) and ship your order in about 3 weeks, often sooner.
      • Volunteers deliver the merchandise sold to those that purchased them.
      • Our products and packing are 100% satisfaction guaranteed.

      Advantages: No money is needed up front, no product to carry around in order to sell, a wide variety of products can be offered, only products that have already been sold and paid for are ordered.

  3. How “Big” Does My Group Have to be to Work with Kids in Communities?

    We service all customers. There is no minimum size. Ask our fundraising consultants to recommend the best program for your groups’ size so you may maximize your profit potential.

  4. How Do I Know Which Program is Best to Run with My Group?

    Our fundraising consultants will help make recommendations based on your fundraising history and your customer base.

  5. How Long Should I Run My Fundraising Sale?

    Most sales run 2-3 weeks long for effective results.
